How to Schedule Your Day as a Real Estate Agent
Janet Pozos oversees all things marketing at The Address. Not only does she handle every one of the agents’ needs for their listings, from designing postcards to custom sale signs, and brochures; she also helps founder Troy Palmquist bring all his creative ideas to reality.
Originally from the small town of Carpinteria, California, Janet knew from a young age that she always wanted to work in real estate. After graduating from the Art Institute of Orange County with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, she got her real estate license in 2011, and was able to combine her passion for design and real estate in a rewarding career.
Janet was initially hired as a Marketing Assistant at Coldwell Banker Calabasas, where she created marketing pieces for over 50 agents, then went on to be a Creative Director in various industries. All the while she was able to utilize her real estate license at a local real estate company and close several transactions of her own.
Her last position before The Address was as Director of Communications for the Oxnard Chamber, managing all of their marketing needs. She won first place for e-newsletter design in 2018 for the WACE, plus received an Honorable Mention award for website design.
Knowing what it’s like to be on both ends of real estate – in marketing, and as an agent, makes Janet a valuable asset to the team at The Address. With design ingrained in her, she not only does it professionally; she loves interior design and spends lots of free time thinking of ways to decorate her house. Janet speaks Spanish, and is the proud mother of two young boys.
